Rasmussen Custom Cabinetry includes hidden cabinet doors and compartments in homes all the time. We have two styles, out-swing and in-swing, or homeowners to choose from.
Out-swing doors are recommended for tighter spaces or small hidden areas that hold appliances or cookware. Out-swing doors can also be used to cover your fridge or washer and dryer and blend into other typical cabinets.
In-swing hidden doors typically lead to a hallway, pantry, or a half-bath. These cabinet hidden door types can help conceal all types of equipment or give you hidden storage. In-swing doors need the right amount of clearance, which makes them seen less frequently in home projects.
When each type of door is closed, they sit flush with the rest of your cabinet set. They typically feature four sections and an extra set of handles that are not functional to create the illusion of upper and lower cabinets.
