This project for a personal residence in Plain City, UT, showcases a comprehensive custom cabinetry installation throughout the home, highlighting unique finishes, styles, and functional elements.
Kitchen:
The heart of the home features Knotty Alder cabinetry with a distinctive 50/50 White Dove with VD Glaze finish. The kitchen is adorned with a double-stacked top mold and cove crown, mirroring the style found in “Colton’s House.” Notable features include a spacious 118″ island top, a large farm sink, pocket doors, and dedicated areas for a microwave and double ovens. Upper glass panels utilize seedy glass, with an option for an X grid at an additional cost. The design also incorporates spice pull-outs, P-38 half posts, and no seams at the full refrigerator panels, which are recessed.
Laundry Room:
The laundry room continues the theme with Knotty Alder cabinetry, finished in 50/50 White Dove with VD Glaze and a cove crown. This functional space includes 24″ deep cabinets and provisions for a hanging rod.
Master Bath & Master JW (Jewelry/Wardrobe):
The master suite boasts Knotty Alder cabinetry with a Rustic Pewter with VD Glaze finish and a shaker door cut. Both rooms feature a cove crown style, with the Master JW incorporating 10″ deep cabinets and a bottom plate.
Main Bath & Half Bath:
These bathrooms introduce a different aesthetic with Rustic Walnut cabinetry, finished with a Sheer Stain RAS Custom Stain and a shaker door cut. A cove crown style is consistent across these spaces.
Upper Bath & Upper Bath JW:
The upper level bathrooms utilize Knotty Alder cabinetry with a Rustic Pewter with VD Glaze finish and a shaker door cut, complemented by a cove crown. The Upper Bath JW specifically includes 10″ deep cabinets and notes a bath tub area.
Pantry:
The pantry, designed for optimal storage and organization, features Knotty Alder cabinetry with a 50/50 White Dove with VD Glaze finish and a cove crown. It includes double-stacked topmold and generous shelving, with all upper shelves to be installed by the owner/finished carpenter.
Across all rooms, the cabinetry consistently features scoop, square, and square door cuts (except where shaker is specified), ensuring a cohesive and elegant design throughout the James Farrell Personal House. This project exemplifies Rasmussen Custom Cabinetry’s commitment to personalized design and quality craftsmanship.
