There are multiple cabinet door styles to choose from that fit different design styles. 2- Open Frame Style

This cabinet door style leaves the middle section open so that you will be able to see inside the cabinets. There are just four small wood or metal sections that cover the cabinet opening and the center allows you to display decorative items or glassware inside the cabinet.

Open frames are also used when you have glass cabinet doors. Instead of an open center, glass or stained glass is put in the center of the structured frame.

3- Raised Panel Cabinet Doors

Raised panel cabinet doors also have a frame. Raised panels are thicker in the center and taper down to meet the frame. They are typically made from solid wood and crafted to create this look. These cabinet doors are often used for traditional styles of rooms or contemporary homes.

4- Slab Cabinet Doors

Slab doors are used in modern homes because they are sleek and minimal. They are typically built from plywood or softer wood types with edge banding covering the sides. It can also be made from a solid piece of wood and has rounded edges that make the doors look more raised from the base cabinets.

5- Louvered Style

Several slats are applied in the center of the cabinet door horizontally. Each slate is angled downward to create the illusion of overlapping. These slates help let air into the cabinet to prevent moisture damage. These slates can be made out of metal, wood, or plastic and fit perfectly into a farmhouse-style home.

6- Cathedral Or Arch Cabinet Doors

These doors feature a panel with an arched or curved top that looks like architecture in a cathedral. A double arch that occurs at the top and bottom of the cabinet panel is also an option when you decide to install cathedral cabinet doors. It may seem like an outdated style to some, but this cabinet style is still found in homes today.

7- Accent Door Styles

Accent cabinet doors aren’t used throughout the entire area. They are used on specific cabinets in order to provide a decorative accent. These are commonly glass doors, mullion doors, or various other door styles. Accent cabinet doors can create a beautiful appearance for the entire room, as well as draw focus to a particular point. It is best for homeowners to use them sparingly, or it may ruin the unique feel.
